Taurus

Taurus is a German home and light-commercial strength brand, widely offered through European webshops and therefore common in Dutch garage gyms.

Racks, benches and cable towers still need a model on the file. The part that fails in a home gym is the same kind of part as in a club: a cable, a pad, a bolt.

Parts to write on the job

• Cable

  Write which run you replaced, and whether the rest of the cable stayed. A visible fray is not the whole cable.

• Upholstery

  Photograph the pad and name the machine. Recovering ‘the blue one’ is how the wrong bench is sent out.

• Barbell

  Spin in a sleeve, a bent shaft, or worn knurl belongs on that bar’s file. Bars are assets, not a pile.

• Rig upright and bolt

  Movement in an upright or a bolt that will not hold is out of use until you know why. Write the anchor, not only ‘the rig’.
