NuStep

NuStep makes recumbent cross trainers used in rehab, senior rooms and hospital gyms. The seat and the step are the product.

Seat hardware, pedals and the console are the parts. A member who cannot get onto a standard elliptical still needs this machine in service. Treat a fault as a closed door, not a spare.

Parts to write on the job

• Pedal and crank

  Play in a pedal is a higher priority than a dark console. Write which side.

• Console and board

  Photograph the error code before anyone resets it. The board number is on a sticker, not in the member’s description.

• Saddle and post

  A clamp that will not hold a height is a fault. Sweat eats the post; name the part you replaced.

• Drive belt or chain

  On a bike this is the drive, not the running belt of a treadmill. Keep the names apart on the job.
